Country music has evolved in the past several years and has gained more and more followers and popularity due, for the most part, to its evolution to a more “pop” sound. The lyrics usually touch a feeling or an emotion and the tunes themselves are, more often than not, catchy at best. Whether you’re an old school Country music lover or a more recent fan, hearing your favorite artists in person is an experience like no other. Luckily, fans can usually find a summer festival that will fulfill this experience. Thanks to the prevalence of country music in the United States, you should have little to no problem finding a festival in your region. From Arkansas to Wisconsin, Country Music headliners are performing. However, if you’re a Midwesterner, you have hit the Country music jackpot. For whatever reason, Wisconsin holds more country festivals each year than anywhere else in the United States.

1. Country USA Music Festival

One of the biggest festivals, Country USA Music Festival, can be found in Oshkosh, WI. It runs for three days and boasts popular country stars like Dierks Bentley, Brad Paisley, Trace Adkins, Alabama, and Scotty McCreery. There are options to camp out for the festival, and many hotels and motels in the area. But, because it is a very popular festival, it’s best to purchase hotel/motel stays well in advance!

2. Summerfest

Another popular music festival is Summerfest, which runs every year in Milwaukee, WI on the Summerfest grounds. Although it is a festival for all genres of music, you can always find a popular country artist playing on one of the main stages. Every year, 800-900,000 guests attend Summerfest. You can find rising country artists on some of the smaller stages, and popular country artists on the main stages. Although there is general admission pricing to Summerfest, for some of the headliners you will need to purchase separate tickets for an additional fee.

3. Country Thunder

Country Thunder is a very popular festival held every summer in many states. A fan can attend one of the Country Thunder festivals in Florida, Arizona or Wisconsin. This festival runs from mid-March in Florida, through July in Wisconsin. Country Thunder runs for three consecutive days, and many Country Music headliners can be found playing on one of the three days.

4. Country Jam USA

Country Jam USA is another country festival held in July in Eau Claire, WI. Country Jam USA is another three-day festival boasting such talent as Toby Keith, Keith Urban, and Jake Owen.

5. CMA Fest

These are all great festivals to see Country music talent, but by far the largest and most popular country music festival is CMA Fest. This festival runs for four consecutive days in the heartland of country music, Nashville, TN. If you can’t find one of your favorite country artists at this festival, then you’re not looking hard enough! More than 80 top names in music, both individuals and groups, can be found performing at this popular fest. Being in Nashville, where many top country acts live, it is the largest gathering of Country names you will find in the United States.

No matter where you live in the United States, there is a Country Music festival not far from you. For the multi-day festivals, you can expect to pay anywhere from $100 to $300, depending on the length of time you wish to attend and whether or not major headliner pricing is included in the general admission cost. If you’re a tried and true country music fan, you will have no problem finding festivals to attend from spring through summer throughout the US.
